Andrew Hull
With a robust background in the construction and development industry, Andrew Hull, Principal at STANBURY Project Managers, brings over three decades of experience to the table. His journey began in Sydney, Australia, where he studied Structural Engineering and Construction Management at Sydney Technical College, laying a solid academic foundation.
John Bretschneider
Principal
Having embarked on a career after studying architectural technology in Ontario, he worked for several architectural firms and larger corporations, such as Imperial Oil and Petro Canada, designing aviation facilities and downstream commercial developments.
Drawn to the rugged beauty of the West Coast and its burgeoning development industry, John moved to Vancouver and continued diversifying his design experience by working with SNC-Lavalin and returning to school at UBC for an undergraduate degree, followed by completing a bachelor’s degree in construction management.
John’s breadth of experience spans numerous real estate sectors in Vancouver, including institutional, commercial, entertainment, and multi-family residential. He has successfully managed complex projects from their initial conception to their full operational turnover phases, providing strategic direction and oversight to key clients and projects. These include high-rise concrete residential and office, major public infrastructure renovations, large commercial and regional malls such as Oakridge Mall, Metrotown, and Guildford Mall, to name a few and numerous wood frame mixed-use residential projects.
His deep understanding of Vancouver's construction and development landscape has been instrumental in guiding STANBURY Project Managers to success.
Today, John leverages his industry experience to meet and exceed client expectations to realize each project's vision. His commitment to client success and the unique industry insights he has gained through his career experience continues to drive STANBURY's growth and reputation in the field.
Andrew Hull
Principal
His diverse career has covered every market sector and building form, including construction in concrete, mass-wood, wood frame and structural steel, from high rise to low-rise and everything in between, including complex commercial builds such as level 5 medical facilities, car dealerships, restaurants and bespoke estate homes.
Andrew has led these projects under all forms of construction project delivery, including design-build, construction management, stipulated price (lump sum) and Guaranteed Maximum Price. This experience has gifted him with a deep understanding of the intricate nuances of the construction and development industry. Andrew's industry acumen is complemented by his tenacious dedication to shepherding projects from inception to completion, ensuring the seamless realization of client visions.
In 2016, leveraging his comprehensive industry experience, Andrew established STANBURY Project Managers, a testament to his commitment to providing unparalleled project oversight and exceeding client expectations. His formidable industry expertise and leadership continue to shape the success and reputation of STANBURY.
In his spare time, he can be found enjoying the waterways in and around his hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia, with his family and friends.
